Jeanette Andrade

Assistant Professor, Food Science and Human Nutrition

Jeanette Andrade is an assistant professor of nutritional sciences and master’s in dietetic internship director in the Food Science and Human Nutrition Department with a long-term goal to minimize the rapid progression of chronic kidney disease in patients through dietary modifications. Dr. Andrade’s current research interests focus on nutrition education, specifically on developing educational materials to promote dietary behavioral changes among low-income adults. She is also interested in using various educational techniques to advance health professionals’ counseling abilities. She is actively involved in the scholarship of teaching and learning, exploring ways to improve undergraduate student’s learning experiences.
