Dr. Sargent is a Professor and Extension Postharvest Specialist in the Horticultural Sciences department at the University of Florida. The goal of his integrated extension/research/teaching program is to develop and disseminate pertinent information to reduce losses in postharvest quality of fresh fruits and vegetables during harvest, handling and shipping operations.
