Research Associate, Forest, Fisheries and Geomatics Sciences

Taryn Garlock is an Assistant Research Scientist in the Global Food Systems Institute. She conducts interdisciplinary research that explores interconnections between marine resources and social systems at local and international scales. Recent work has focused on the use of new performance indicators to analyze fishery systems and the communities that depend on them, and how growth in aquaculture is changing the global seafood sector. She received her Ph.D. in Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences from the University of Florida.
